Depression and Anxiety

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy is one of the most researched and proven psychotherapy approaches available today - especially when treating depression and anxiety.  It helps you learn how to change your thoughts, feelings and behaviors so that you can feel and function better.

Cognitive Skills

These skills aim to reduce unhelpful, damaging thoughts by replacing them with more helpful ones. In the process, we're rewiring the brain to respond differently to stressors and triggers. Often this component involves homework and practice - lots of practice.

Behavioral Skills

Honoring the mind/body connection, behavioral skills target use of our bodies.  We look at actions, and examine behaviors that reduce the impact of our stressors and triggers. Examples include using our breath, and exercise/movement.  Practicing between sessions is encouraged.

Combining Cognitive and Behavioral Skills

Used together, these skills empower you to think more clearly, combat depression and anxiety, and also help you manage and cope with many other life's challenges, like self-esteem, intimacy, relationships and work/life balance.
